Two studies, presented at the 26th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2026) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and virtually on 26-31 July 2026, showed that consistent adherence to the World Health Organization (WHO) screening and diagnostic guidelines could improve the detection of opportunistic infections — particularly TB — in people with advanced HIV.
