WHO Expands Global Collaboration Platform to Accelerate Strategic Planning for HIV, TB, Hepatitis and STIs

World Health Organization announcement and call to action
The World Health Organization (WHO) is strengthening global efforts to support smarter, faster, and more inclusive strategic planning for HIV, TB, viral hepatitis, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) through a new interactive collaboration platform designed to connect countries, partners, civil society, and communities worldwide.
Implementing effective HIV, TB, hepatitis and STI programmes requires robust, inclusive, and evidence-based strategic planning. Improving capacity to develop and implement these plans is critical for accelerating progress towards the targets and commitments in the WHO Global Health Sector Strategy on HIV, Hepatitis and STIs, End TB Strategy and United Nations High-Level Meeting political declarations.
Effective strategic planning is a dynamic, country-led process that strengthens governance, informs evidence-based decision-making, and supports sustainable resource mobilization. Strong, inclusive collaboration across ministries of health, different government sectors, civil society, communities, and technical and financial partners is the prerequisite of a strong strategic plan.
