Patrick is a global health expert, advisor, and management consultant for civil society organizations (CSOs) and United Nations (UN) agencies. He is the founder of Envopharm, an organization focused on the facilitation of public-private approaches to vaccination. Previously, he was the Country Lead of VillageReach and served on the COVID-19 task force for Côte d’Ivoire. He is also a member of the UNITE4TB CAB.

Ani Herna Sari

Ani is the Executive Director of Rekat Peduli Indonesia, a multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB) survivor organization. She is also Vice Chair of the Technical Working Group (TWG) at CCM Indonesia. She is also active in the Global Fund Advocacy Network and served on the steering committee of TB Women.

Lindsay McKenna

Lindsay is the TB Project Co-Director at Treatment Action Group (TAG), a research and policy advocacy organization dedicated to ending HIV, TB, and HCV that co-founded the TB CAB in 2011.

Ketho Angami

India

Ketho is the head of ARK Foundation, a community health organization geared toward education and capacity building to inform effective advocacy. He has been instrumental in various advocacy relating to viral hepatitis, HIV, TB and substance use disorder, and is a longtime proponent of government transparency in global health.

Lusiana Aprilawati

Indonesia

Lusi is part of the Key and Vulnerable Populations delegation in the Stop TB Partnership. She is also part of the VaxCAB, which focuses on vaccine research and development in anticipation of potential pandemic. At the grassroots level, she does advocacy work with JAPETI, PETA, and IGET, all local civil society networks for TB survivors. She learned about drugs research and development, TRIPS related issues, and Procurement and Supply Chain Management when she worked with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Belgium in Indonesia as an Access to Treatment Officer, community engagement consultant for TB Alliance, the CCM Oversight Committee, and Health System Strengthening Technical Working Group.

Ángela León Cáceres

Ecuador, Germany

Ángela is a mixed-methods public health researcher and gender equity advocate affiliated with the Catholic University of Ecuador and the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health in Germany. As Global Coordinator of Women4GlobalFund, she oversees HIV, TB, and malaria projects in low- and middle-income countries, and also serves as member of the Developing Country NGO delegation to the Global Fund Board.

 

Sergiy Kondratyuk

Ukraine

Sergiy is the Intellectual Property Project Manager at the International Treatment Preparedness Coalition (ITPC), where he works on addressing patent barriers to expand access to medicines in middle-income countries. He helped draft compulsory licensing regulations in Ukraine and has written analyses of TRIPS flexibilities to improve access to medicines in Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

Blossom Makhubalo

South Africa

Blossom is a social worker currently employed as Community Engagement Manager at the Aurum Institute, where she coordinates partnerships with affected communities on various TB projects. Her interests and experience center on the social determinants of health and health equity for marginalized populations.

Sneha Maru

United States

Sneha is a physician and advocate dedicated to advancing tuberculosis care and control. As a City Medical Specialist with the NYC Bureau of TB Control, she manages complex cases of TB while spearheading critical research initiatives. Her personal experience as a TB survivor, combined with her expertise as a TB clinician specializing in Integrative medicine, informs her holistic and empathetic approach to patient care. By blending evidence-based practices with a deep understanding of patient needs, Sneha is committed to driving TB prevention, improving diagnosis, and shaping global strategies for TB eradication.

Ganzorig Munkhjargal

Mongolia

Ganzorig Munkhjargal is Community Engagement and Advocacy Coordinator for the Mongolian Anti-TB Coalition. Since 2018, he has coordinated the STREAM CAB Mongolia, a vehicle for engaging affected communities in landmark clinical trials for drug-resistant TB. More recently, he joined the APCASO CAB to helm community engagement in TB research in Central Asia in partnership with the USAID-funded SMART4TB Project Consortium.

Esther Nakkazi

Uganda

Esther is a science journalist, media trainer, and the founder of Health Journalists Network in Uganda (HEJNU). She has covered infectious diseases such as HIV, TB, Ebola and more for publications including Science for Development Network (SciDev.net), The Lancet Infectious Diseases, University World News, CancerWorld, Nature Africa, Scientific African, and more. She serves on the Makerere University in Uganda and Case Western Reserve University Research Collaboration CAB focused on TB research, and advocates for global health security and the UN Sustainable Development Goals through HEJNU’s participation in the Global Antimicrobial Resistance Media Alliance (GAMA).

Joyce Ngetuny

Kenya

Joyce currently works as Programs Manager at Pamoja TB Group, a community-based organization focused on psychosocial support, treatment adherence, and human rights for people affected by TB. She is a member of the Network of TB Champions Kenya (NTBC-K), which brings together TB advocates, and serves as Secretary to the Domestic Resource Mobilization Team in Nairobi.

Archana Oinam

India

Archana works with the Global Coalition of Tuberculosis Advocates (GCTA) on community engagement and capacity-building to ensure a community-led, people-centered, and rights-based TB response. Her public health work has focused on marginalized populations, coordinating with policymakers on programmatic changes related to gender and other issues.

Oluwafunke Racheal Olayemi

Nigeria

Oluwafunke works as a program officer at Stop TB Partnership Nigeria and as Co-National Coordinator of TB People Nigeria, playing a pivotal role designing and implementing strategic TB programs and organizing advocacy activities with fellow TB survivors. She has taken part in many global TB projects and committees, including Partners in Health (PIH) Engage, the Global Forum on TB Vax, TB People Global Chapter, and the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease. She also helped launch the World Health Organization (WHO) 1+1 initiative to activate youth TB advocacy.

Oxana Rucsineanu

Moldova

Oxana is a survivor of drug-resistant TB and leads the Moldova National Association of Tuberculosis Patients “SMIT” (Society of Moldova against Tuberculosis), which provides psychosocial support and peer education to people affected by TB as well as engaging in advocacy work. She participates in several TB community forums, including TB Europe Coalition (TBEC), the Global Coalition of TB Advocates (GCTA), and TBPEOPLE.

Wim Vandevelde

South Africa

Wim is the Liaison Officer at the Global Network of People Living with HIV (GNP+) in South Africa, supporting the Communities Delegation to the Unitaid Board. A long-term survivor of HIV, Wim is an experienced HIV, TB, and HCV activist at the national and international levels. He founded the Portuguese Treatment Activist Group (GAT), and is a founding member and former chair of the TB CAB.

Mexico

Alberto is the founder of the acTBistas, a coalition of health activists dedicated to advancing human rights of people affected by TB and HIV in the Americas. He directs the Americas TB Coalition and the Regional Tuberculosis Social Observatory in the Americas region.

Jimmy Galarza

Peru

Jimmy is a licensed psychologist who helps run community-based clinical trials with the HIV/AIDS Research Team at ACTG site 31473 based at the University of Texas Medical Center, focusing on the regulatory process, study activation and reviewing some mental health tools of clinical trials. He previously worked for Socios En Salud (SES) in Peru in Clinical Trials focused on HIV/TB. He served on the technical advisory group that developed the WHO Global Framework to prepare for the country’s introduction of new TB vaccines for adults and adolescents.

Denis Godlevskiy

Russia

Denis is the Eastern Europe and Central Asia regional coordinator of the ITPC, which advocates for accessible, acceptable, and effective health technologies. He is also the coordinator of ECAT, a community advisory board representing Eastern Europe and Central Asia under the USAID-funded SMART4TB Project.

Rosa Herrera

Mexico

Rosa is a physician, patient advocate, and TB survivor. She previously served as a state and county TB controller based in Baja California, Mexico. In that role, she began to coordinate Mexicali as a ZERO TB City in the model of the Zero TB initiative, helping to reduce TB mortality by 10% in three years. She now works as Director of the Autonomous University of Durango School of Medicine.

Yuliia Kalancha

Ukraine

Yuliia is Executive Director of TB Europe Coalition. She specializes in European Union law and access to medicines. Previously, she worked for AIDS Healthcare Foundation in Ukraine, and was involved in procurement issues at the All-Ukrainian Network of People Living with HIV.

Gloriah Kerubo Moses

Kenya

Gloriah works at International Treatment Preparedness Coalition (ITPC Global) as their Citizen Science Program Officer supporting community led monitoring efforts. She previously worked with the National Empowerment Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (NEPHAK) in Nairobi, which fights for meaningful participation of affected communities in the HIV and TB response. She also worked for Amref Health Africa as a Community Systems Strengthening project associate for a Global Fund project.

Blessina Kumar

India

Blessi is CEO of the Global Coalition of TB Advocates. She has served on the WHO Civil Society Task Force on TB, and on the steering committee of the Global Fund Advocacy Network for the Asia-Pacific region. She has a particular interest in issues related to women and children affected by TB. She is a member of the UNITE4TB CAB.

Marcus Low

South Africa

Marcus is a journalist and public health expert. He has covered the science and politics of TB, HIV, and health inequality extensively for Spotlight, News24, and more. Previously, he was policy director at Treatment Action Campaign, the activist organization credited with forcing the South African government to expand access to antiretroviral treatment for HIV.

Albert S. Makone

Zimbabwe

Albert is a community health activist with a focus on equitable access to TB and HIV care in Zimbabwe. He has served on the New TB Drugs Working Group and the Communities Delegation with the Stop TB Partnership. He was the African Regional Focal Point for the Global Coalition for Tuberculosis Activists (GCTA), responsible for strengthening the capacity of TB activists in Africa.

Zied Mhirsi

Tunisia

Zied serves as Vice President at Global Health Strategies, spearheading advocacy efforts and media strategies across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. He is the founding president of the Tunisian Center for Public Health and has previously worked for Physicians for Human Rights and served as the Executive Director at the Global Network of Researchers on HIV/AIDS in MENA. Zied’s advocacy have earned him fellowships from institutions such as the UN Alliance of Civilizations, the African Leadership Institute, and the Fulbright Program.

Peru

Carolina previously worked for Socios En Salud (SES) monitoring research projects and supporting engagement with local community advisory boards.

Kseniia Shchenina

Russia/Germany

Kseniia cofounded the TBPEOPLE network, an advocacy group that fights to protect the rights of people living with TB. She has worked with TB Alliance as a community representative on TB clinical trials in Russia, and is the coauthor of TB and You, a guide by TB survivors to support people undergoing TB treatment.

Jonathan Stillo

United States

Jonathan is a medical anthropologist and assistant professor in Anthropology at Wayne State University, where his work focuses on the social, economic, and political dimensions of drug-resistant TB. He serves in a leadership capacity for the TB Europe Coalition and Stop TB USA, and has participated in WHO reviews of national TB programs in Romania and Moldova.

Khairunisa Suleiman

Kenya

Khairunisa is an experienced global health research consultant and biochemist with expertise in program implementation in Eastern and Southern Africa. Her projects include the development of TB community mapping tools, market surveys for TB diagnostic tools and operational research on diagnostic tools.

South Africa

Anso is a journalist and activist specializing in social justice and health. She’s covered HIV/AIDS and TB for The Guardian, Maverick Citizen, Spotlight and more, and previously led the communications team for the HIV/AIDS project at SECTION27, a public interest law organization in South Africa.

Paran Sarimita Winarni

Indonesia

Paran is a founder of the WHO 1+1 Youth Movement Against TB in DKI Jakarta. She served on the World Health Organization at the Southeast Asia Regional MDR-TB Advisory Committee (rGLC) and belongs to multiple TB Survivor advocacy networks in Indonesia, and also Vice chair of PETA, people affected by DR TB organization in Jakarta.
