The 18th BRICS Summit was held on 12–13 September 2026 and concluded with the adoption of the New Delhi Declaration reaffirming BRICS countries’ commitment to advancing universal health coverage through resilient, inclusive and people-centered approaches. Leaders of BRICS countries called for stronger cooperation in health, including sharing of experiences, innovations and best practices, and endorsed initiatives on TB, digital healthcare, healthy lifestyles, mental health and traditional medicine.
