TAG Webinar: Using Digital Storytelling and AI for Active Drug Safety Monitoring in TB Care
11 June 2026
Treatment for drug-resistant TB is difficult and complex, and can cause side effects throughout the body. Active drug safety monitoring and management (aDSM) and pharmacovigilance (PV) — tools that help identify, report, and manage side effects — are critical to supporting the implementation of newer regimens. Innovations in TB support tools like AI companions and expressive writing and photography initiatives are filling gaps in care, and can help identify and manage treatment side effects.
On 30 June 2026, Treatment Action Group (TAG) and KNCV will host a webinar, Using Digital Storytelling and AI for Active Drug Safety Monitoring in Tuberculosis Care, presenting cutting-edge technologies and artistic techniques that help people with TB express lived experiences and seek support during treatment.
