Almost 11 million people globally had TB in 2024, and 5.8% were people living with HIV. Although U.S. TB rates come nowhere near global numbers, cases have increased almost 8% per year since 2021. In 2024, the United States saw the highest number of cases since 2011: 10,347, according to CDC provisional data.
